Our small dogs are courageous and request to go outside even when it's cold and windy. We shovel a path for them out into the yard because they won't go past the end of the deck to do their business if we don't...
Furby is now 8.
As seen from inside looking through our upper Foyer window. Outside, the distance from the window sill down to the roof is over 12".
Wind swirled snow over our fountain at the base of the Aspen tree. Directly behind the fountain the snow barely covers our grass but is piled into a drift next to the fence that is over 3 feet high.
Our neighbor's kids help their parents with clearing off their car.
The two boys are climbing up on the car and sweeping off the snow with their hands. Each swipe caused them to slip off the car before they climbed up again for another swipe. I heard their giggles for about half an hour before they abandoned their task but they got over half the car cleaned off.
We discovered this drift outside our garage when we opened the door. The dark part of the drift is about 12 inches off the floor and the highest point measured about 32".
Our deck lights are shaped like Pagodas and looked pretty interesting with the snow caps and Austrian Pine in the back ground.
This storm had a lot more wind than the March 2003 storm in our area which caused some interesting drifts.
A look towards our neighbors house shows snow drifts overhanging the eaves.
This shot shows the drift on the side of our house against the fence. It's about 3 feet deep here.
The snow drifted by the fence and was almost down to the grass down the middle of this shot.
6 pounds of heart! Diva braves any weather and this storm was not going to keep her inside.
Not quite as much snow here as in the 2003 Storm pictures but feel free to compare for yourself.
