Local news announced a plea for clearing the snow off fire-hydrants, so firemen can see them if needed. I forgot to clear ours off on Day 1 of the Double Whammy Storm.
It took over 3 hours to shovel the paths for the dogs and our driveway. An hour of that was because I got my truck stuck and dug it out. Got it out, moved 10 feet forward and proceeded to get it stuck again...

The snow outside our garage door measured about 12 inches. (Phase I left a 32" drift)

With the wind accompanying Phase I of the storm we never lost the signal from Direct TV. But we had intermittent service during Phase II which required a few gentle whacks on the dish with a 10 foot piece of PVC. If you must know, those were high-tech whacks...
