Drift over our front porch

Drift over our front porch

All the pictures are kinda typical for what the storm looked like in our area. The storm started March 17, 2003 & dropped over 36" in two days. The accumulation was about 26" depending on snow pack and whether the person was using their 'fish' measuring ruler.

Normally, the mountains can be seen above the fence gate.

My wife takes a break (yep she helped shovel snow! God I love her) and Furby supervises.

The snow had to be thrown farther and farther from the driveway and the drifts were getting bigger as the day went on.

The storm started on Monday (17th) and a neighbor cleared the driveway entrance with his snowplow late Thursday after the snowplows ¿helped¿ by pushing the snow drift back across the driveway.
