Using the InHome Wireless Motion Sensor's Cascading Function

From large rooms to outdoor lights, a single InHome Wireless Motion Sensor can't always provide total coverage. This latest Card Access Tech Tip explains how to cascade, or connect, multiple Wireless Motion Sensors together to create one “virtual” sensor that monitors any area regardless of room size or shape. And since all the sensors are connected together, you only need to apply program scripts to the last motion sensor in the cascade, saving you time and resources.

Motion sensor cascades also work for outdoor installations like turning on all the outside lights if motion is sensed in one area. This Tech Tip walks you through an explanation of the feature, shows you how to access it in a Composer project, and gives you an installation example to solve a real-world problem.

Home Automation
The problem everyone faces is that home automation spans several system types. The job of a home automation system becomes integrating stereo systems, TVs, security systems and lighting systems to name a few and picking compatible equipment to purchase. Although Control4 integrates better than any other system we've worked with, sometimes it's more economical to go with new equipment that is 'plug and play.'

How Can I use Home Automation?
Our 1st priority after combining 7 remotes into one
